It’s pretty common to offer as many as 3 different branding concepts but early on in my Lyra Studios journey, I chose to start offering one concept and here’s why.
Most of the time when I was offering multiple concepts, I had a favorite. There was one I knew was the best solution and I just crossed my fingers hoping it was the one they’d pick. My clients often became confused and had decision fatigue trying to decide for themselves which one suited their brand the best. So I thought, why not simply develop and offer the absolute best?
My ideal client picks me for my expertise + problem solving skills. They trust that I’m going to pursue the best concept (not that I don’t explore many others!) and present them with my solution for their brand. The Lyra Studios process is a heavily strategic one and the one concept process lends itself to that.
All of this being said, there can sometimes be more than one solution for a business. Do I nail it every time? Not always! I do typically find that taking the time to dig into your business BEFORE we get started on design work ensures that most of the time, my clients are happy the first time and ask for minimal changes.
